Super Styling: Fudge Reform Texture Paste

Fudge Hair Reform is a medium-hold flexible texture paste that can be used on wet or dry hair. It's one of those great smelling hair products that my boyfriend always mistakes for me 'wearing that lovely perfume again' every time I use it.

Fudge gives it's Reform paste a hold factor of Five and it's pretty true to that, even for my fine hair that finds it diffuicult to hold styles. The product does feel slightly sticky and is quite flexible once applied.

Fudge is one of those great brands thats not ridulously expensive but not super cheap and delivers on salon quality. Best of all, it goes a long way. I like to lighten up the product by mixing it with a little water before I apply it as I find it can dry a little too hard in my hair. It's brilliant for adding texture and holding in waves with a little hand styling.

I personally love their product range, especially their treatments. The consistant great smell across their range, decent pricing and lovely pacakaging means it's a brand I always make a beeline for when shopping for products and throughly recommend trying their range.

Clean in a hurry: Batiste Dry Shampoo

Dry Shampoo is an essential travel item and at home beauty must-have. Batiste Tropical dry shampoo is one product that I've found instantly gives my hair a little pick-me-up on those days it gets greasy way too quick and I don't have time to wash and style all over again.

I keep one at the office and one at home and it's come in handy so many times. Brilliant for those days you hit the snooze button one to many times and have to rush out the house still half dressed and ready. Comes in handy on those 'blah' days when you've been invited for a last minute after work drink and need to add a little glamour but letting your hair down but you haven't washed it for a few days and it's looking a bit ropey at best. Because it's got a lovely tropical smell it's also great if your hair seems to have picked up a bit of cigarette odour after a boozy lunch that seemed to wind up with you breaking your no smoking band (not that that would ever happen to me...ahem...).

I could ramble on for hours about all the times it's come in handy for me but I've got a date in three hours and need to get ready, so, basically, if you're a girl on the go that has misbehaving hair and a busy lifestyle then you need dry shampoo in your life. Batiste is one brand I've found is great, and Klorane also makes a great one too. If you haven't used it before, it's well worth the investment to at least try. It's no substitute for clean healthy hair, but does the trick for those in between on the go moments when your hair shows signs of greasiness and washing isn't an option.

Handbag Essential: Antibactial Hand Gel

Germs don't just suck because they make you sick, they also suck because they can mess up your complexion. If you've got horror skin like mine that breaks out even if you just glance at a bar of chocolate, I recommend you always carry a little bottle of antibacterial hand gel in your bag.

As well as being excellent for travelling, they're also great to help you prevent transferring germs onto your lovely face. Excellent if you're out and about and don't have access to water, soap or towels to wash your hands.

I prefer them to baby wipes because a bottle of antibacterial hand gel is smaller, lighter, doesn't dry out once you've opened it, and you don't need to find a bin after to dispose of anything. It also dries instantly and leaves no residue which is always a bonus.

I've personally tried many brands and haven't found a big difference between any of them in terms of quality and fragrances. I picked up a great one in Australia by Ego called Aquium which I found particularly effective, and now that I'm in the UK I tend to go for the Boots home brand. So, whatever brand you pick up to try, just make sure you do try it. Essential handbag item.
